Death to the old
What might William Blake mean by Enitharmon’s words from the Four Zoas?
In the terms of my Mythology, is it Woman as Seraph? Is it the end of the relationship? Is it unrequited love? Is it death to the innocent and rebirth as a Child of Love? Is it all of these?
The joy of Woman is the death of her most best-belovèd, Who dies for love of her In torments of fierce jealousy and pangs of adoration: (Four Zoas)
